I think the question I get asked most from our newly engaged and future couples is about engagement sessions. Our future Brides are never really sure if this type of photo shoot is right for them or something they even need since "a friend who takes kinda nice pictures took a quick pic of us and we used that for our save the dates." Although this is a great idea to have a friend or family member snap this photo for you, it is also a good idea to do an actual shoot with your wedding photographer! There are a few benefits that I will mention quickly in this post as I know we are all super busy and finding time to read can be hard! 1. You get to see what it is like to be in front of a professional camera and under the direction of a professional photographer. 2. You get to spend one on one time with that photographer capturing the photos and see how well you get along during this time together. 3. This is a special time in your life and it should be documented properly and 4 and most importantly, you get to see the final images your photographer provides you with and make sure their style is what you have envisioned for your wedding photos! You could also use this time to have the trials done for your hair with professional stylists like Mandy at La Sorella Bridal and makeup with Jeanine Mangan and feel a little more done up as I know personally getting pretty always seems to bring out my own inner model!
